I was employed at HKA as a Senior Data Analyst, and I oversaw data management across the business. This role entailed engagement with both internal expert witnesses and external legal teams.

Externally, I was responsible for overseeing all the large commissions which had complex data sets. Most of the commission resulted in the use of different E-discovery software such as Relativity, NUIX and Consillio. I led a small team who were responsible for the collection, transfer, storing, managing, presenting, archiving and deletion of data.

Internally, I was responsible for leading CRUX HKA's data research program which looks at the most common causes of claims and disputes, in the construction and engineering industry. The data is collected from the projects on which HKA has worked on globally. As per the latest CRUX report, I led a small team which analysed the most common causes of claims and disputes from 1182 projects with a total capex of over USD 1.8 Trillion. Further to the CRUX program I was responsible for project managing the move from a server-based environment to a cloud based environment due to COVID19. This change of process created some initial challenges due to a resistance to change but with the continued training and support we were able to move an entire 1000+ strong workforce onto the cloud based environment within a matter of weeks.

My most recent commission that I lead was a large cost to complete for a contractor in the Middle East where we needed to produce 10 reports for 10 major capital construction projects with a contract value of over USD 20 Billion. I flew out to the Middle East met with the client, agreed the collection and transfer of the data from the client to HKA. I then set up the required workflow where 43 employees were be able to review over 4TB of data simultaneously which resulted in us meeting the deadline within the tight deadline of 12 weeks.
