• Preliminary trademark clearance searches, managing renewal of trademarks including collecting evidence of use from Marketing and business teams.

Litigation and Trade Compliance:

• Contractual review and assessment pre-litigation on contentious matters, including assisting on IP exhaustion issues and IP licensing disputes, early termination and liquidations, Rome I implications to contractual disputes – Jurisdiction and governing law interpretations;
• Preparing documentation in relation to best positions available in several instances of contracting detailing the benefits of jurisdictional choice and governing law – litigation over Arbitration / Injunctions for continued use of IP;
• Trade Compliance and Export Control – Drafting, monitoring of compliance (U.S. Export Administration Regulations and all associated regulations and legislation).

Data Privacy:

• Global Privacy Program Implementation: Point of Contact and Second to Senior Counsel for company-wide Privacy issues – Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Impact Assessment drafting and completion. Data Subject Access Request facilitation. Drafting Privacy policy and various updates. GDPR contract remediation: high-value contracts. Represented Arm at Bird & Bird Brexit Working Group. Developed and distributed training to establish program depth;
• OneTrust ServiceNow Integration: Kicked off, cultivated, and finalised project;
• Arm Product Ownership and Management: OneTrust Privacy Management Software - Responsible for oversight and compliance.
